If you're affected by cancer, we can help. The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Team are located in the main reception area at Broadgreen Hospital. We provide a confidential free drop in service to anyone affected by cancer, patients, family, friends or carers. We offer emotional support and practical advice that is tailored to you. We are staffed by a Macmillan Cancer Support Manager, Macmillan Support Officers and Trained Volunteers. We offer a warm welcome in an informal space where you and your loved ones can feel listened to, helped, supported and informed. We have a Macmillan benefit adviser who provides patients with welfare and benefits advice on the wards and in the centre. Along with a range of high quality support and information, we also offer Look Good…Feel Better workshops which are run by qualified beauticians and make-up artists, ‘Man-shed’ which is a garden potting shed available every Friday at Broadgreen Hospital for men ONLY to access for support.
